- We perform ground investigations using the Swedish sounding test. After confirming the strength of the bearing ground,
we will perform appropriate soil improvement work if necessary.
- Our mat foundation with reinforced concrete integrates soil and the foundation and provides an earthquake-proof and stable platform.
For construction, the amount of reinforcing steel and the thickness of concrete will be based on structural calculations.
- Structural calculations will be performed for all houses to provide earthquake-proof wooden houses.
The calculations will be reviewed by our "qualified technician for earthquake resistance".

【Quality Control Law (Law to Promote Quality Control of Housing)】
The law was established in 2000 to protect consumers from trouble related to housing such as slipshod works or defects.
* Nomura Koumuten Corporation has addressed this problem since the enactment of the law.
1) Defect liability for 10 years for the foundation structure.
Foundation structure refers to:
"Parts important for structural performance such as foundation, walls, and bases"
"Parts to prevent immersion of rainwater, such as roofs, outer walls, covers for openings"
- It is a legal obligation; for a brand-new house, it is essential.
2) A housing performance indication system has been newly established.
A fair third party institution will check a brand-new house for nine items such as strength or durability, evaluate the quality of the house, and issue a "Dwelling Performance Evaluation Report".
- This is an optional system; there are many houses for which have not been issued the report.
Nomura Koumuten Corporation has obtained the report for houses in many subdivisions.
3) Smooth resolution of troubles
If any problem arises, you can utilize a "designated housing complaint-settlement entity" designated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, for an application fee of 10,000 yen.
- Only the house owner for which the evaluation report was issued for both design and construction can utilize the entity.

An evaluation report is, in a plain expression, like a school report card containing the performance of the house, which makes it easy to compare it to other houses.
2) It makes it easy to understand the performance of the house.
3) It is reliable because a fair third party expert will check every process.
- Official inspection
- Inspection for homeowner's warranty (warranty for 10 years)
- Inspection of dwelling performance evaluation
4) In case of bankruptcy of the developer, it will be processed rapidly.
5) The house with the report will be highly evaluated when selling.
- Nomura Koumuten Corporation obtains the reports for houses we build because we are confident in our buildings' quality.
Further, we will bear the fee! (some areas may not be covered.)

- We have obtained 2 ISO certifications: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- "ISO9001" is a specification of quality control and quality assurance for companies issued by ISO (International Organization for Standardization). About 60 countries all over the world have adopted it as the international specification. It is the international specification to review and certificate quality assurance systems for companies' product development.
- "ISO14001" is a specification for operation of an environmental management system established by ISO (International Organization for Standardization). It requires companies to organize and operate a structure to reduce environmental burdens which would be posed by such companies.
